🤔 What were the main announcements?

🔧 Customizable GPTs: OpenAI DevDay 2023 unveiled Customizable GPTs—unique ChatGPT versions tailored for specific needs without coding. Users can easily build their own GPTs, choosing functionalities like web searches or image creation. Sample GPTs (Canva, Zapier AI Actions) are available for ChatGPT Plus and Enterprise users. The GPT Store launches this month. Enterprises start GPT use on Wednesday, designing internal GPTs securely. Admin controls allow sharing settings.

🖼️ Multimodal Capabilities: OpenAI DevDay 2023 showcased ChatGPT's enhanced multimodal features. DALL·E 3 integration enables image generation from text, opening creative, educational, and accessibility possibilities. GPT-4 Turbo now processes images, and new text-to-speech voices with two quality options were added.

🚀 Assistants API: DevDay 2023 launched the Assistants API, aiding developers in building apps with persistent state and functionalities like code execution. This API, in beta, supports advanced AI capabilities. It taps a retrieval component for external knowledge, allowing function calling. Available to all developers, billing is based on per-token rates.

💡 GPT-4 Turbo: OpenAI DevDay 2023 introduced GPT-4 Turbo, an enhanced version of GPT-4, claimed to be "more powerful" and cost-effective. It handles 128K context, equivalent to prompts covering 300 text pages. GPT-4 Turbo incorporates knowledge up to April 2023. It comes in two versions, with the text-analyzing model available via API preview. Running GPT-4 Turbo as an API reportedly costs one-third of GPT-4's price.
